Who Can Use EBT to Buy Taco Bell?

You must be eligible for Restaurant Meals Program in order to buy Taco Bell meals using EBT.

All three criteria must be met:

  1. You must reside in an area that offers a restaurant meal program.
  2. You are unable to prepare your own food at home if you’re elderly, disabled or homeless.
  3. You must buy food at a restaurant which has been approved for EBT.

It’s not an either/or scenario. To use these benefits, you must have all three statements true.

If you qualify, the process is fairly automated.

If you are eligible, your caseworker will only need to check a system box to make sure that the EBT card works at participating restaurants.

You may not be eligible for the EBT card if you think you are. If this is the case, you’ll have to contact your caseworker for further information.

Before Taco Bell can start processing SNAP payments, each location must be individually approved by both the federal and state governments.

It can be confusing and overwhelming for some business owners to go through the necessary paperwork to receive approval.

How Can I Pay for My Taco Bell Order Using EBT?

The Taco Bell checkout process is very simple. The EBT card is swiped in the same manner as at grocery stores and convenience stores.

The process is the same. One important thing to note.

To swipe your card, you must be physically present in the store. You can order the meal for delivery or pick it up in the restaurant.

You can only order a meal if there is an authorized user in your account.

However, they will have to visit the restaurant personally.
